Being edited out of members magazine IMPACT after donating money for Honor Roll status In november 1996 I was attacked head on by leaders of Church of Scientology Europe. My company had for some years been printing and mailing out their members magazines, and been highly valued for the job I did. But for a period of 6 weeks the income statistic had been down, and the International Management started investigating. They suspected that the magazines, which are considered key importance to income, had not been printed and mailed out. Since all the magazines throughout the years had been invoiced and paid, their suspicion was that I had just kept the money for my self, thus leaving me as a suspect of major fraud against the Church. Church leaders came to my house demanding me to turn over all my accounts. At first I refused as I did not agree that a client should be able to just demand the accounts from it's supplier. But after they informed me of the allegations against me I decided to turn over my accounts in order to firmly clear my name. It didn't help. They simply refused to face the fact that every single magazine my company ever printed had been printed in full quantity and mailed out as well. There were invoices and thereby documentation for each and every magazine I had ever printed. But at that time the top leader, Walter Kotric, had already briefed the staff and publics that Robert Dam had been found guilty in fraud against the Chuch and I was the main reason the income had been down. In the end I had to go to USA to meet with one of the highest leaders of the entire Scientology hierarchy, Marty Rathburn. I spend a week trying to get my name cleared, but without luck. It was a complete nightmare with interrogations, blame and threats. Read the entire story here http://robertdam-cos.dk/My%20story%20with%20management.html When I returned to Denmark I had to pay a huge compensation to the Church for old printing jobs which were not satifactory in quality. They had to find something they could frame me for, so in order to end the nightmare I volunteered the idea of compensating for old printing jobs which could have been inferrior in qualitty. That they bought. After paying back the compensation I was eager to finally get my name cleared in the Scientology society. Since staff and publics had been told that I was guilty in fraud I found it important that they were all properly informed about the truth. Otherwise I could not see myself returning back into the society. After several meeting at Church of Scientology Europe I gave up. They simply refused to clear my name. They had run out of arguments, and I found myself up against a political decision that had absolutely nothing to do with integrity or honesty. In a desperate last attempt to get my name cleared I decided to become an Honor Roll member of International Association of Scientologist (IAS). This is for people who donate US$ 20.000,00. There are various status' one can achieve simply by donating money, and Honor Roll obviously is quite prestigious. The IAS representative who persuaded me to pay (Joachim) had promised that I would be photographed for the monthly magazine IMPACT, as all the other people who obtain such a status. As he said "This will really show them that you are in Good Standing no matter what anyone says." Joachim was quite on my side. I am pretty sure about that, even though the donation counted on his statistic and therefore was in his interest in more than one way. And the day came for the big celebration and I was photographed on stage with my Honor Roll Plaque, and was also photographed in a group picture in the lobby. When the IMPACT magazine arrived a few weeks later, I was eager to see my picture, but that was being too optimistic. I had been retouched out of the pictures. I was nowhere to be found. Shocked and disappointed I wrote a letter to the Chief Editor asking for the reason. He replied that he had not been permitted to bring my picture. See his letter here See here other examples of picture manipulation. The IAS is editing the past, just like George Orwell is writting in his bestseller "1984" |
