The legal mind behind International Association of Scientologist, Jakob Arrevad.

The International Association of Scientologist (IAS) is a legal set-up constructed by the highly respected danish lawyer Jakob Arrevad.

Sportscar entusiast and golfer, Jakob Arrevad, 1949, is a partner of DLA Nordic, a renowned danish law firm. Untill now he has succesfully escaped being publicly mentioned in connection with his controversial client, Church of Scientology International. He appears in prestigious cases and seems to be a well established name in danish law circles.

On March 2nd 2005 I had a meeting with Arrevad. He had called me on my cell phone a few days earlier stating "We should talk about your claim against my client, The International Association of Scientologists, and see if we can get it settled". On the meeting Arrevad seemed fairly uninformed about the matter betweeen the Church of Scientology and myself, but he was aware that IAS was mentioned on my web site www.robertdam-cos.dk and his intention was to make me remove IAS from the site. Or as he said "my client would be pleased not to be mentioned at all". He made sure to mention that I did not legally have a claim against IAS as all donations to the IAS are accompained by a little slip which state that donations are non-refundable. Having said that he still thought that IAS would be willing to considder partly or full refund of my donations if I would be willing to edit IAS out of my web site. He also said it could be that IAS could still appear and suggested a rewording which his client could probably live with. Through Arrevad IAS also offered me a written appology for editing my picture out of Impact Magazine. I accepted and offered in return to publish it on my web-site so my readers would know that IAS at least tried to correct it's wrong doings against me. He quickly refused saying he was pretty sure his client would not be interested to have it published on the web.

That was the last I heard of Arrevad. He was only hired to find out whether or not IAS could buy my silence, that's the long and short of it.
